Why Ready, Set, Next?

Navigating changes in sport is hard.

Unfortunately, there are few programs that help student-athletes deal with sport-related changes, especially when it comes to helping student-athletes be ready for the next level or adjusting to life after sport.

We created Ready, Set, Next to fill this gap and support student-athletes (ages 18+) in finding their new normal.

Everyone has a Next. What’s yours?

Realize Your Next

This project is driven by Haugen Performance Consulting and developed by Erin Haugen, PhD, LP, CMPC, a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant® specializing in sport and performance psychology with nearly 20 years of experience working with athletes and within sport ecosystems at many levels.

Course content is informed by research-backed sport psychology tools, Dr. Haugen’s expertise, and the lived experiences of athletes.

This effort is associated with North Dakota’s State Suicide Prevention Program, funded by the ND Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Behavioral Health Division (BHD).

Ready, Set, Next Modules (for athletes)
